Welcome to kenya

Nairobi
Nairobi is the capital city of kenya. it has an elevation 1,661m and takes around 7h 45m to get there from Switzerland. From 2009 there was a population of 3.138 million people. Nairobi is very famouse from the nairobi national park. In the park it is very commom to find over 50 black rhinoceroses. You can travel around the park in your own vehicle but the cheapest way to travel around the park is by the park shuttle, which is a big KWS bus that leaves the main gate at 2pm on Sunday for a 2 and a half trip around the park. The wether varies throughout the year, the most rain falls around April and the driest month with 14mm of rainfall was July as seen on the graph below. The temperature also veries but the hottest time of the year is around January, Febuary and March. if I was to go on a safari i would go around June to September because the animals when it is really hot be under the shade where it is cool and because since the rainfall is low the animals will be up and looking around for water to drink. The Nairobi river flows through the Cappitla city of kenya. it is the main river of Nairobi. it also has several parallel streams flowing east of the river. The river is full of garbage and pollution. at the end of the river it joins to the Athi River which eventually joins onto the indian ocean.
